COMMUNITY BASKETBALL CLUB COMMITTED TO DEVELOPING BASKETBALL HERE IN MILTON KEYNES

Founded in September 2017, the Milton Keynes Basketball Foundation was set up with a clear Mission Statement, to offer local boys and girls the opportunity to play basketball at both community and elite levels and to make Milton Keynes a major basketball destination in the UK.

As Milton Keynes Basketball Club, we have grown from 40 boys and girls playing in one small gym to today offering community basketball to 800 boys and girls, training and playing out of 6 local basketball centres.

Since 2022

As part of our efforts to make Milton Keynes a major basketball destination, 2022 saw the return of senior men’s basketball to Milton Keynes after the MK Lions (now London Lions) departed for the capital in 2012. The return of senior men’s basketball also coincided with Milton Keynes’ national recognition of City status.

To celebrate both of these events, we took the opportunity to rename ourselves as the MK Breakers Basketball Club, paying homage to the infamous Bletchley Codebreakers of WW2, just a stones throw from our current home venue, Bletchley Leisure Centre.

The senior men’s team will compete in Basketball England’s National Basketball League Division 3 for the 2022/23 season, with aspirations to move up through the the divisions.

Milton Keynes and community involvement are at the heart of everything we do, offering weekly community basketball for our 800 members, regular holiday basketball camps, weekly coaching in over 40 MK primary and secondary schools, working with local Sports Partnerships and supporting local charities in their own community efforts.

We look forward to welcoming you as part of the MK Breakers basketball community!
